First stop with the Louis cousins, Illinois. We toured the Lincoln Historic sites in Springfield and the Mormon Pioneer towns of Nauvoo and Carthage. It was hot and humid, but the kids were troopers.
During the Nauvoo portion of our trip, we watched several musical plays. One was particularly bad... very boring, lame songs, and loooonnnnnggg. I was wondering how Jonas was handling all this. About this point, he throws his hands up in the air and says "Okay, THE END, blah blah blah". So funny! I was completely on his page. High Hopes and Riverboats can sink for all I care.
During our road trip, I said, "you know its a small town when the Pizza Hut sign says "CONGRATS JEN, ITS A GIRL!" You don't even need to know which Jen... apparently there's only one in the town and she had a girl. Super funny, we died laughing.
