How to Catch a Scorpion

We visited Papa Glenn and Ann Marie in Arizona this summer.  We had many highlights, but I think our most memorable one was learning how to catch a scorpion... this  is the only way to get rid of them... who knew?!

1.  Put on your brave face and/or goggles (Emma)

2.  Gather equipment:  black flashlight, forceps, and jar

3.  Search wall with blacklight for scorpions

4.  Find scorpion... they GLOW under the black light

5.  Put in jar

6.  Watch them squirm around

then do a HEEBIE JEEBIE dance (our favorite part)

7.  Watch scorpion eat a cockroach...more heebie jeebie dancing

8.  Pour water into jar and let sit overnight

9.  VOILA!  In the morning you have a jar of drowned scorpions!
