One of These Things is Not Like the Other

Do you remember the Sesame Street song and skit, "One of these things is not like the other. One of these things are kind of the same. Can you guess which kid is doing his own thing? Now its time to play our game. Its time to play our game." While at Showa Koen I had a really funny moment when I realized how easy it was to spot our children's pile of shoes... Are Americans really this sloppy? Or is it just our kids? Believe me when I tell you, our pile was THE ONLY pile that looked like this. How embarrassing.

Yes, that it very funny. With all the sand, I almost thought that second picture was our front entry (genkan).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!!!

I can't do yogurt pie and there's no mother bear's pizza, but we'll find something here to make it special (Maybe a new cat that looks like Harry and a fun surprise party).

You know you're American when you look at that pile of shoes and say, "what's wrong with the way they arranged their shoes?"
I love your funny blog,

I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO DO THIS THING AGFAIN!!!!!!!!!! I tried to send it and failed the identity test. Will give it a go again.
Happy Birthday Tracey! WOW Trente cinco (SP?) How fun!
I love all your blogs. They always make me laugh!
At first when I saw the neat shoes, I thought that was the picture. I looked at it for a real L O N G time and came to the conclusion, the green shoes have two different colored socks. Then as I scaned down, I saw the real picture and laughed! I love the American style. Glad to see the kids are not swayed by the "Culture". Make sure you hold both hands in the air above your head and with two fingers on both hands say, "Culture."
I love and miss you all. I am planning on another trip to Indiana for a month possibly in Feb???
If you ever want an honest answer, just ask me. I never avoid the truth regardless of the outcome. Just ask your mom. I always stick both feet in my mouth.
Look forward to seeing you all in a few days!
Love,

LOL! Loved it! HILARIOUS! I have to agree, what's wrong with the way took off their shoes in such a hurry, because they were ready to play? There's no time for neatness, when there's playing on the way. Just ask my girls! Love you!!

My back door piled with at least 15pairs of shoes (no joke) 10 coats, loads of mittens, hats, etc. It's a mess! But when my Japanese babysitter comes over, after she leaves they are neatly lined up just like the other photo! Funny & TRUE!

OH, that was the greatest! It looks like our entry way, too. If I had a nickle for every time I tripped over my kids shoes - I tell you what...
